Abstract:	This study examines a variety of types of potential pollution sources and their relationship to mortality rates in rural and urban areas. It describes the number and type of pollution sources that are present and tests for associations between greater exposures and mortality, holding constant the effects of age, sex, race, and other population characteristics. The study includes tables, figures, and references.
