|Title:||Pain and Suffering Shouldn't Be an Option|
|Abstract:||This booklet discusses how school-based oral health services can help make preventive services, such as screening, referral, and case management, accessible to children from families with low incomes. It provides information about why children and adolescents from low-income families are at higher risk for oral disease and how poor oral health can lead to decreased school performance, poor social relationships, and less success in later life. The booklet discusses disparities in access to care based on income and how oral trauma and nutritionally inadequate diets contribute to oral health risk, and includes a figure and references.|
