Inside HRSA: The November issue of Inside HRSA reports on the participation of HRSA Administrator Betty Duke and HIV/AIDS Associate Administrator Deborah Parham-Hopson in a U.S.-Tanzania exchange program for women government ministers. It also examines HRSA's growing collaboration with the Veterans Administration to improve health care for returning soldiers, the 20th anniversary of the AIDS Education and Training Centers program, and agency efforts to improve health literacy. As with every issue, Inside HRSA gives you a snapshot of current news and events and staff on the move. Look for the next issue of Inside HRSA in January.

Program In Focus: The Office on Women's Health (OWH) coordinates the efforts of all the HHS agencies and offices involved in women's health. Established in 1991 within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the OWH works to improve the health and well-being of women and girls in the United States through its innovative programs, by educating health professionals, and motivating behavior change in consumers through the dissemination of health information.   • AIDS and Behavior. HIV Prevention with HIV-Infected Persons Seen in Primary Care Settings: Implementation of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)'s Special Projects of National Significance Initiative (Volume 11, Number 5, September 2007 Supplement)
    This journal supplement contains articles pertaining to interventions to help HIV infected individuals from transmitting this disease to uninfected individuals. Topics include transmission risk, integrating HIV prevention into the clinical care of those living with HIV, and transmission risk prevention counseling in clinical care settings and a university based HIV clinic. The journal supplement also contains articles about prevention intervention programs targeting men, women, and African Americans as special populations. It includes tables and figures.   • Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved. The Care System Assessment Demonstration Project: A HRSA - Sponsored Effort to Identify and Reach People Living with HIV Who are Not in Care (Volume 18, Number 3, August 2007)
    This journal supplement describes the process by which the Health Resources and Services Administration HIV/AIDS Bureau helped grantees develop tools to make quantitative estimates on unmet HIV primary service needs. It presents methods, findings, and recommendations from the Care System Assessment Demonstration (CSAD) Project done in Palm Beach County, FL which targeted Black women.   • One Year In: Sole Community Rural Independent Pharmacies and Medicare Part D (September 2007)
    This report describes the experiences of 51 rural independently-owned pharmacies one year after implementation of Medicare Part D, focusing on those that are the sole providers of pharmacy services in their community. It details administrative issues related to Part D open enrollment and the burden placed on pharmacy owners and their business operations.   • Women's Health USA 2007 Data Book
    This data book is the sixth annual report of women's health in the Nation. It presents current and historical data on the female population in the United States.
