Public Health Observances for August include: National Immunization Awareness Month, Children's Eye Health and Safety Month, and Psoriasis Awareness Month. Inside HRSA: The August 2007 edition of Inside HRSA features a national ceremony held last month to honor organ and tissue donors and a new database that identifies initiatives to improve the quality of care HRSA's grantees provide. HRSA's call for more grant reviewers is also discussed, as is the recent meeting in Washington of the agency's public housing primary care grantees. Other stories cover the new Federal ID card that all employees must obtain and the happy tale of two graduates of the HRSA Scholars program who found more than careers at the Parklawn building. Program In Focus for August: The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics (Forum) is a collection of 20 Federal government agencies involved in research and activities related to children and families. The mission of the Forum is to foster coordination and collaboration and to enhance and improve consistency in the collection and reporting of Federal data on children and families. The Forum's annual report, America's Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, provides the Nation with a summary of national indicators of child well-being and monitors changes in these indicators over time.
