One of HRSA's policy priorities - improving dental care - is featured in an article about a Hattiesburg, Miss., health center; another article explores how the Office of Performance Review is working with project officers to improve grantee performance. Other stories cover Administrator Betty Duke's radio interview with Disney "Kidcasters" on ways to stop bullying and a special HRSA graduation connection.

Program In Focus for July: In 1987, the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act, established the Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program, the only Federal program with responsibility for addressing the primary health care needs of homeless people. The goal of HRSA's HCH program is to improve the health status and outcomes for homeless individuals and families by improving access to primary health care, mental health services, and substance abuse treatment. Access is improved through outreach, case management, and linkages to services such as housing, benefits, and other critical supports.
